No casualties were reported.

For the first time in 4 months, the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas fired rockets into central Israel.

This was reported by the BBC with reference to the telegram channel of the military wing of Hamas, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, which announced a “large missile attack” on Tel Aviv, as well as the Israeli media, which published footage on of which rocket debris is visible in the garden of one of the buildings in Herzliya.

The Islamist Palestinian movement Hamas struck the Tel Aviv area in central Israel.

At least eight rockets were fired from the area of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where Israeli forces are currently fighting remaining Hamas forces, and several rockets were intercepted, the Israeli military said.

The shooting came shortly after International Criminal Court Attorney General Karim Ahmad Khan announced the issuance of an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as the announcement by three European countries of their intention to recognize the Palestinian territories as sovereign.

In other cities and towns, including Herzliya and Petah Tikva, sirens sounded warning of rocket attacks.

Israeli media published footage showing rocket debris in the garden of a building in Herzliya.

Another video posted on social media shows a large crater, apparently caused by a rocket landing in an open area near the central city of Kfar Saba.

Photos added to the Hamas report of the “major attack” show that some of the rockets were fired from the eastern city of Rafah, very close to the border crossing, which has been under Israeli military control for 18 days.

Sources report that the Israeli IDF army is actively operating in the area and has already stated that it controls the situation and there are practically no Hamas militants left there.

“Israeli political scientist Akiva Eldar told Al Jazeera that rocket attacks on Israel will allow the Israeli Prime Minister to “play the victim” and at the same time appeal the decision of the International Court to stop military operations in Rafas,” reports BBC .

Recall that three countries announced recognition of Palestine. Israel's harsh reaction was not long in coming.
