The quantitative superiority of the Russian Federation in manpower and equipment allows it to maintain offensive operations at the front for a year already.
This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Gavrilyuk in a blitz interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the enemy's advantage in resources is “very significant”, in particular with regard to the ability to train personnel.

— It is due to this quantitative advantage of the enemy in manpower and equipment that we have a difficult situation in the Pokrovsk area and in other parts of the front, — Gavrilyuk explained.
He noted that we lack tools to combat Russian aircraft, which drop hundreds of KABs daily, while in certain areas of the front there is a very high intensity of combat operations — daily 150-200 assaults.
Accordingly, in order to reduce the offensive momentum of the occupiers, the Defense Forces need to add firepower and more well-trained soldiers, says the Defense Ministry representative.
— And most importantly — that our society does not yet have a full understanding that the defense of the state during war — this is the task of the entire people, and not of an individual soldier or mobilized citizen of Ukraine who has become a military serviceman, — he added.
It is these reasons, as Gavrilyuk noted, that influence the fact that “the Russian Federation has a creeping advance on the front”.
