Donald trump wanted his image appeared next to the bas-reliefs of four American presidents on mount Rushmore in South Dakota. This writes The New York Times, citing sources in the Republican party.
The publication claims that the Governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem 2018 actively invited trump to come to the US Independence Day at mount Rushmore. In the end, the President told her in the oval office that wants his face appeared in one row with four sculptures of the founding fathers of the country. And last year, assistant White house asked the Governor’s office with the question, “how is the process of adding more presidents to the mountain?”.
Later Noem gave the Tramp a gift copy Rushmore on which was carved his portrait.
On mount Rushmore are carved the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. The monument was established in 1925 in honor of the 150th anniversary of U.S. history.
