“We set the date — approximately September 15, at this moment [TikTok] stop working in the United States. But if someone, Microsoft or someone else buys it, it’ll be interesting,” — said the American leader.
Trump said that during the discussion of this issue with Microsoft, he urged to buy the whole company, not share it. “I think the purchase of 30% is difficult,” — said the head of the White house.
Previously, Microsoft has confirmed the desire to buy TikTok Chinese ByteDance. The transaction will take place when a comprehensive revision of security of user data. In case of success of the transaction data from the American users of the social network will be stored on US territory.
About the plans of Microsoft to acquire TikTok became known on July 31. According to unofficial sources, Donald trump is going to force ByteDance to refuse from the share in TikTok that China could not control the social network in the United States. The next day it became known that the American leader is going to ban social network.
