Halla-aho also believes that protecting and helping Ukraine should be a top political priority. The Speaker of the Finnish Parliament said that the war in Ukraine should attract more attention in Finnish politics than it currently does.

The Minister of Defense rejected this assumption

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen disagrees with Jussi Halla-aho's opinion.

He said that one should not look back at history with the idea that there is some inevitable sequence of events.

He noted that some leaders of authoritarian countries do indeed act in a similar way to before World War II, but that war can be prevented with proper preparation and defense development.
