Volodymyr Zelensky visited Italy. In particular, he met with his colleague. The Ukrainian leader called on Sergio Mattarella to come to our country.

The head of our state said that he met with the President of Italy. He noted that he is very positive.

I told him that it was time to come to Ukraine. Because the last time the President of Italy was in Ukraine was 25 years ago – that's a quarter of a century. I think it would be a good idea, – emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.

He noted that now the talk is especially about preparing a conference on reconstruction. He emphasized that this is an important aspect, on the basis of which the leaders could meet and discuss the next steps in Ukraine.

The President emphasized that it is important that Italy has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war and has done so constantly. He added that now officials have already supported the 10th package.

The Ukrainian leader thanked all the people of Italy. The president also noted the very serious humanitarian support.

“We are grateful for this, especially now, when there are missile strikes on our energy system. For us, the alliance of partners is important, who give our children the opportunity to go to school, protect the energy system. We thank Italy,” Zelensky noted.
