The first teaser for a new film called F1 about Formula 1 racing with Brad Pitt in the lead role has appeared online. One of the main roles is also played by Damson Idris.
Formula 1 film: what is known and when will it be released
In the upcoming film, Brad Pitt plays the role of former Formula 1 racer Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport and becomes a partner of rookie Joshua Pearce (Idris) in the fictional APXGP team.
The cast of the film includes such actors as Javier Bardem, Carrie Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Cayo. In the film, Bardem will appear as the boss of the APXGP team.

The filming of the F1 movie took place at real Formula 1 races, in particular last year's British Grand Prix.
The film was created in collaboration with Formula 1. The teaser for the film features real faces, including Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso, former Haas CEO Guenther Steiner and others.
The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski, who worked on Top Gun: Maverick.The film's producers include Brad Pitt and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who also took part, in particular, in writing the script.
The film is expected to F1 will be released worldwide on June 25, 2025.
