NATO is discussing putting nuclear weapons on alert. It is interesting that because of such plans of the Alliance, real hysteria has already begun in the Kremlin.

The faithful lackey of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin commented on the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about bringing the Alliance’s nuclear weapons to a state of combat readiness, hysterically noting the ban on such rhetoric, which Moscow itself does not adhere to. This is reported by Russian media, reports 24 Kanal.

What they say in the Kremlin

As Jens Stoltenberg reported, NATO plans to put nuclear weapons on standby mode, which is being negotiated within the Alliance. At the same time, Dmitry Peskov considers such rhetoric and statements “unacceptable.”

According to him, when the Kremlin boss Putin talks about issues related to “military nuclear affairs,” he allegedly just answers questions from journalists, in particular foreign ones.

He doesn't talk about it on his own initiative. And he is very attentive to this. But what Mr. Stoltenberg said does not fit into the context of the same declaration that was adopted the day before, and which not everyone signed, said the dictator’s servant.

Peskov noted that the above-mentioned document states the inadmissibility of such rhetoric, but the statements of the North Atlantic Alliance are nothing more than escalating tension.

However, for unknown reasons, the Russian official did not mentions all statements and actions of Vladimir Putin.

Russia has repeatedly threatened nuclear weapons and conducted exercises

In early May, the Russian defense department announced the start of preparations for exercises using non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The aggressor country stated that these exercises are supposedly a response to “provocative statements by individual Western officials.”

And now at the end of May in Russia Exercises on tactical nuclear weapons began. Then the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country even showed footage from the exercises.

It is also interesting that on November 1, 2023, Russia tested the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile, which is the main one in the ground component of Russian strategic nuclear forces.

More about Stoltenberg's statement

< p>On Sunday, June 16, an interview with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was published for one of the British media. In it, he, in particular, stated that NATO is preparing to transfer its nuclear arsenal to combat readiness.

This is being done in order to show it to the world. At the same time, the threat from Beijing and Moscow is constantly growing. As the Secretary General of the Alliance noted, there were lively consultations between NATO countries on removing missiles from storage and placing them in standby mode.

The official added that nuclear transparency should be the cornerstone of nuclear strategy North Atlantic Alliance. Such a policy should prepare the Bloc to confront a more dangerous part of the world.

Let us also recall that the Russian Foreign Ministry threatened strikes in the event of the expansion of NATO’s nuclear mission into Polish territory. The expansion of the Alliance's nuclear mission is allegedly “destabilizing and threatening” in nature.
