Participants in the rallies on the streets hold posters criticizing the Prime Minister of Slovakia. People chant various slogans, for example, we've had enough of Fico, Slovakia is Europe.

— We will escalate the protests until changes occur, — the organizers of the protest in Banska Bystrica explained to Slovak journalists.

Protests against the policies of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico began in early January of this year.

The rallies began to gather after Fico's visit to Moscow, which took place in December 2024. There he met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

After this, the Prime Minister of Slovakia announced the possibility of cutting off electricity supplies to Ukraine.

In response, Ukraine appealed to the European Commission to stop blackmailing Robert Fico, who is effectively taking sides with the Russian dictator.
