US President Joe Biden said that only God can convince him to end the presidential race.

Biden rejected the idea from some Democrats that after last week's disastrous debate with Donald Trump, he should step aside and choose a younger candidate to replace him. Biden believes there is hardly anyone more qualified to be president or win this race.

The President also dismissed suggestions that his allies might ask him to step aside: That won't happen.

As BBC News reports, during this interview the president was more confident and answered questions clearly, although his voice was still hoarse. Biden himself attributed his poor performance at the televised debate with Trump to fatigue and a bad cold.

The President also said that he sees all these messages saying that he is supposedly too old.
— Was I too old to create 15 million jobs? Was I too old to eliminate student debt for five million Americans? — said Joseph Biden.
Pressure on Biden to resign only intensified after a debate in which he lost his train of thought several times, raising concerns about his age and mental health.
Some major Democratic donors have begun pushing Biden to step down as the party's nominee, publicly warning that they will withhold funding unless he is replaced.
