North Korean troops have changed into Russian uniforms, says Pentagon Polina Buyanova

North Korean troops sent to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine have changed into Russian military uniforms.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced this at a press conference in Washington with his South Korean counterpart Kim Yong Hyun. Earlier, similar statements were also made by the National Security Council of South Korea.

DPRK soldiers have changed into Russian uniforms

The US and South Korean defense ministers discussed sending DPRK troops to Russia. It is noted that Moscow and Pyongyang do not deny this yet, although they do not admit it either.

According to Austin, the DPRK troops sent to Russia changed into Russian military uniforms.

Austin also noted that even with North Korea's support, Russia will not defeat Ukraine. The United States and its allies will urge Pyongyang not to involve its soldiers in the war, however, according to Austin, this will probably happen anyway. Kim Yong Hyun called on North Korea to “immediately” withdraw all its troops from Russia, and Lloyd Austin supported this call.

By the way, the European Intelligence Center previously confirmed the presence of North Korean soldiers on Russian territory. There may be several thousand North Korean troops there now.
