Apple has introduced a new generation of smart watches, Watch 6. The recording of the presentation at which the announcement took place is available on the company's website.
The watch will be released in new colors: blue and red. The watch also received a pulse oximeter to measure blood oxygen saturation. Like the heart rate monitor, the sensor works constantly, including during sleep, and helps to monitor the user's condition.
The design of the watches has remained the same and they are available in two sizes – with dials of 40 and 44 mm. The watch received a new Apple S6 chip and GPS. Along with the watch, the company showed watch faces that will become available with watchOS 7 and new versions of silicone and leather straps for Apple Watch.
At the same time, Apple showed an affordable version of the Watch SE that will replace the Series 3. The watch received last year's S5 chip, which is twice as fast as the Series 3. The device looks the same as the Series 6. Apple has announced family access to the Apple Watch, which allows you to use the watch even if the user does not have an iPhone. However, this function will not work in Russia.
The Apple Watch SE is priced at $ 280. The older version costs $ 400. Watch sales in the United States will begin on Friday, September 18th.
