The Ministry of Defense of Latvia, within the framework of the drone coalition, is transferring to the Armed Forces of Ukraine a batch of combat drones in the amount of — 2.5 thousand units.
This is stated in the press release of the Latvian department.

A new batch of combat drones of various types and purposes was produced by seven Latvian companies. They will be provided to Ukraine gradually throughout July.

The sum of these 2,500 drones — €4 million. It is reported that the first 300 drones will arrive in the coming days.
At the same time, Defense Minister Andris Spruds said that Latvia is making significant investments in the further development and implementation of unmanned technologies.
For 2024, the Latvian Ministry of Defense has allocated €20 million for activities within the framework of the drone coalition, of which more than 10 — for the purchase of drones from the Latvian defense industry.
In April and May, Latvia transferred to Ukraine 135 combat drones for various purposes and electronic warfare equipment with a total value of about €1 million. The priority in deliveries for this year will be FPV drones.
As of now, the drone coalition includes 14 countries. In addition to Latvia, these are Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia.
These countries have raised more than half a billion euros to supply Ukraine with drones and are working to create a joint fund that will allow faster and more efficient financing of drone production.
