North Korean leader Kim Jong UN urged not to rely on external aid in the problem with the flooding in the DPRK because of the severe epidemiological situation. It quoted the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).
“The reality is that the spread of a dangerous virus in the world is deteriorating. [Therefore], one cannot assume foreign help for flood control”, — he spoke. According to Kim Jong-UN, the country should fully close the border and continue to conduct epidemic prevention work.
The head of the DPRK also ordered to liquidate the consequences of floods and to “normalize the lives of citizens.” Despite the fact that nominally Pyongyang refused foreign assistance, Deputy press Secretary of the Ministry of unification of the Republic of Korea Cho Hye SIL has expressed willingness to support such an intention comes from Seoul. The South Korean authorities emphasize that they are ready to cooperate with its neighbors in the humanitarian sphere.
