Apple will release a new affordable smartphone in 2021. This is reported in his Twitter account by a network insider under the nickname Komiya.
According to the blogger's declassified information, five smartphones will be presented in the official Apple store in the final quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. These include the iPhone SE, XR, 11, and the newer iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models. Starting from the second quarter of 2021, the range of devices will change. The insider is confident that the XR will be phased out and the company will add the iPhone 12s instead.
The blogger believes that the successor to the popular model will be presented in the first quarter of the year and will become a compromise smartphone designed for a wide range of users.
At the same time, the author does not mention two other devices of the iPhone 12 series, which, according to other insiders, should be presented in the fall. In early September, analyst Mark Gurman confirmed that Apple is announcing four flagship smartphones, and not two, as before.
In late August, it became known that the American company would withdraw from production a number of smartphones after the release of the iPhone 12. In particular, Apple will stop selling the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max. Also, the iPhone XR introduced in 2018 will be withdrawn from the company's online store.
