Eiffel Tower opened to visitors
The Eiffel Tower opened to visitors nine months later. This downtime became the longest since the Second World War, MIR 24 reports.
Access to the facility was terminated at the end of October 2020. Now tourists can get to all three floors of the tower, but only if strict measures of protection against coronavirus are observed.
In addition, it was decided to limit the number of visitors – there can be no more than 13 thousand of them per day, while before the epidemic there were about 25 thousand of them.
Starting Wednesday, in accordance with new measures introduced by French President Emmanuel Macron, visitors over the age of 12 will only be admitted to the tower upon presentation of a health pass confirming the absence of COVID-19.
