The Danish Ministry of Defense has confirmed that it will transfer F-16 multirole fighters to Ukraine.
This is stated on the official website of the department.
It is noted that the transfer of aircraft will help Ukraine protect its airspace from Russian aggression.
— We agree to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine and the Ukrainian Air Force in close cooperation with the United States and other partners when the necessary conditions are met, — the statement says.
According to the Danish Ministry of Defense, the conditions include successfully selected, vetted and trained Ukrainian personnel, as well as the necessary permits, infrastructure and logistics.
< p>Earlier, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said that the Netherlands and Denmark are committed to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
According to him, Ukrainian pilots are now undergoing language training, military training on the F-16 will begin soon.
