Ukraine we must prepare ourselves for a long-term war to exhaust the enemy. After all, now Russia attracts personnel for money and has ammunition.

Director of the information and consulting company Defense Express Sergei Zgurets told on the Espresso TV channel how long Moscow will have enough strength to carry out intensive military operations, writes 24 Channel.

How long does the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to exhaust Russia

Russia has the manpower and ammunition to carry out intensive military operations, as it is now, for another 2 – 3 years. That is, the enemy will have enough personnel motivated by money and ammunition. We are talking about carrying out intensive actions that exist today,โ€ said Sergei Zgurets.

According to him, now the front line is 940 kilometers, there are 10 sections, of which three are the most active.

Director of Defense Express said that Russia will have the opportunity to put pressure for 2 years in the same format as now.

Zgurets added that the question is for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to find effective counteraction, which is based on:

  • the use of long-range systems,
  • increasing the use of artillery,
  • changing the tactical approaches we now use for counter-offensive actions, which are sometimes vulnerable to our infantry.

That is, we are setting ourselves up for a long-term war of attrition. The decisions that are now being made at the NATO summit will partially help us with this, the expert concluded.

By the way, an anonymous NATO official explained that Russia will not be able to launch a large-scale offensive in Ukraine , because it lacks personnel and ammunition. That is, for an additional offensive, the Kremlin needs to receive significant additional supplies of ammunition from countries other than those it already has.
