Earned a Chinese global navigation system BeiDou-3. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

In the ceremony of launch of the system in Beijing participated the President of China XI Jinping. Last, the 55th satellite system BeiDou-3 was successfully launched into orbit on 23 June.

BeiDou will become a competitor to the American GPS and the Russian GLONASS. It is expected that this year the system will provide navigation services worldwide.

In April 2019, RIA Novosti, citing two sources in the space industry, said that the completion of operation of heavy rockets “proton-M” and unwillingness created to replace carriers “Angara-A5” has led to the need to facilitate output to earth orbit spacecraft of the Russian global navigation satellite system GLONASS.

In April 2018, the General Director of “ISS named after Reshetnev” Nicholas Testoedov said that the GLONASS satellites nearly 40% are composed of foreign components.
