Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has expressed confidence in his election victory. TASS reports.
“I am not here to say that we won, but to say that when the votes are counted, we will win,” the politician said during his speech in Delaware.
Biden also stressed that he will gain the 270 electoral votes necessary to win the elections.
November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
The vote count has not yet been officially completed; in many states, the difference between presidential contenders is tenths of a percent. So far, Biden has 248 electoral votes, while Trump has 214. Despite the fact that the final results of the presidential election are not yet, Trump has already congratulated his voters on the victory. Biden's headquarters also expressed confidence in victory.
