Conference on the restoration of Ukraine: participants
The conference will last two days – June 11 and 12. The event will take place with the participation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The head of our state, in addition to participating in the conference itself, will hold separate meetings with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Bundestag Bärbel Bass and Head of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz. The Ukrainian leader will also speak in the German parliament and visit the Bundeswehr base, where Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are trained.

In total, more than 2 thousand politicians, diplomats, representatives of business, municipalities, and civil society from different countries will take part in the conference. In addition, mayors of a number of Ukrainian cities arrived in Berlin, including from the east of our state.
What are the key topics of the conference
More than 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries will discuss how best to support Ukraine in rebuilding our country.
The key goal of URC2024 is to consolidate sustainable international support for the recovery, reform and modernization of Ukraine. We are talking about emergency assistance in meeting urgent needs, implementing rapid recovery projects, creating attractive conditions for business and private investment, and actively involving civil society in recovery processes.
This means that the event will raise issues from the energy sector, human capital, mental health, and cultural heritage.
Participants will also discuss climate protection, green recovery, healthcare, education, the environment and gender issues.
Conference program
The Recovery Forum will be an interactive platform for Ukrainian, German and international stakeholders. It will include a business fair that will allow representatives of local authorities, SMEs, and large and international companies to interact, learn from each other, build new partnerships and seize business opportunities.
The conference will focus on four thematic dimensions:
- Business dimension – engaging the private sector in recovery and economic growth;
- Human dimension – social recovery and human capital for the future of Ukraine;
- Local and regional dimension – restoration of communities and regions;
- European integration – accession to the EU and related reforms.
Recall that this is the third such conference during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. The previous ones took place in Lugano (Switzerland) and London. The 2025 URC is scheduled to be held in Italy.
