On the eve of the anniversary of the war, Russia is trying to destabilize the situation in Ukrainian society. Thus, the enemy wants to achieve revenge.

ThisChannel 24 was told by Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. According to him, the Russians want to win back in the end.

What Russia is striving for

Mikhail Podolyak explained that Russia is a psychopathic state that hates the entire democratic world.

“They simply kill Ukraine and understand that there are no military goals, military needs,” he stressed .

In his opinion, the enemy wants to use this time to destroy at least some more of our infrastructure and our civilians.

President Volodymyr Zelensky is absolutely right in what he says about Russia's attempted revenge, Podolyak is convinced.

According to him, the invaders want to implement this plan by intensifying hostilities.

What to expect in the coming days

Mikhail Podolyak said that one can talk about enemy activity from the prism of hostilities directly along the front line – in the Donetsk, Luhansk, probably Zaporozhye directions.

Thus, the Russians want to partially seize the initiative and advance at least some more distances – a kilometer, two, ten.

This is an attempt at revenge prove to the world: “Continue to be afraid of us, because we still have a number of powerful resources in order to wage an aggressive war on the territory of Ukraine,” he stressed.

The OPU adviser added that Ukrainians today courageously oppose this. However, this resistance would be more effective if Ukraine received the necessary weapons for attacks.

“Russia does not understand anything other than counter-type military actions. In my opinion, in order to shock Russia, it is necessary to significantly increase the number of Russians killed,” he explained and added that this requires two or three times more shells on the battlefield.

It would not hurt to have long-range missiles in order to destroy Russians in places of their concentration in the temporarily occupied territories.

How to survive February 24

Mikhail Podolyak noted that Russia should not be expected to understand the situation in which it finds itself.

There's no one to talk to, nothing to talk about, nothing to negotiate, because they don't do it all,” he explained.

In his opinion, the Russians will use any agreements only as a means to temporarily stop the intensity of the fighting, carry out certain upgrades, and then again go to destroy us.

“We understand the risks “We have. They will try to use the remaining missile resources to attack the territory of Ukraine. We must be aware that the next few days will have a certain negative emotional characteristic for us,” he said.

In his opinion, Ukrainians should be prepared for frequent air raids on February 24, possible attacks by drones, rockets and fake statements about the advance of the invaders inland.

We will withstand, destroy an additional number of the most combat-ready remnants of the Russian army, and the counteroffensive will allow us to effectively advance within the framework of the de-occupation of our territory. Podolyak noted.

It's also important to just stay calm.

What to expect from Russia on February 24

  • The day before, adviser to the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak warned that Russia could launch three waves of missiles on February 24. Podolyak is convinced that by the anniversary of the start of a full-scale war, the Russians will try to accumulate the volume that they always use for a “massive 3-wave cascade” and show that they still have “gunpowder in the powder flasks.”
  • NSDC Secretary Aleksey Danilov also believes that on February 23-24, the Russians may resort to a new massive shelling. At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that the new attack would not affect the course of the war in any way. He added that Ukraine has survived more than one massive attack, so it must cope with new shelling.
  • British intelligence believes that the Kremlin is preparing to announce that their soldiers allegedly captured the city of Bakhmut., around which bloody battles have been going on for several months. All this is necessary in order for Putin to announce at least some victories at the front, in order to reduce the pressure inside Russia.
