And during a full-scale war, we proved this – we proved that when Ukraine, together with its partners, returns security to the Black Sea, the world receives more security for other regions as dividends . Starting from food security and ending with social security, because the political stability of many countries in difficult regions in Africa and Asia depends on the stability of the food market,” the president said.
Vladimir Zelensky emphasized that today it is very important that thanks to Ukraine it is possible to actually drive the Russian fleet out of the eastern part of the Black Sea .
“Russia cannot use our sea to spread its aggression to other parts of the world, as it did with Syria. Then, when Russia invested in the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria, using the Black Sea as its base, and subsequently our Crimea as a springboard for the actions of the Russian military. Now the situation has changed. Has fundamentally changed. And when we add even more security to the Black Sea, Russia will lose any opportunity to dominate this water area and spread its influence, its destructiveness to other countries. The more protection there is on our coast, on our sea, the more protection the world has,” said the Ukrainian leader.
The commander of the Navy, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the head of the SBU reported separately at Headquarters. Reports by Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny and commanders of other directions were also announced.
Vladimir Zelensky added that events at the front were also analyzed in all its key points: Avdeevka, Maryinka, Kupyansk, Limansk direction, south .

The president also said that today he held a special ceremony to present state awards to those Ukrainian soldiers who increase Ukrainian strength in the battle for the sea.

Vladimir Zelensky also spoke about his conversation with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Denkov. The parties discussed “everything that is the meaning of this day, this time for Ukraine,” the president said.
– I am grateful to Bulgaria for supporting our movement into the European Union, for our very fruitful partnership cooperation in the Black Sea – in trade, in security. It is important that the agreements that we reached during my visit to Bulgaria are being fully implemented. We also discussed our additional security capabilities,” the president said.
The head of state added that the modern world is structured in such a way that it gets used to success too quickly.
“When the full-scale aggression began, many in the world expected that Ukraine would not survive. Now the colossal things that our people, all our warriors, do are simply taken for granted. Ukraine's success in the Battle of the Black Sea is something that will be in the history books , although not discussed as often now. But… Be that as it may, we have to do our own thing – to defend our state, Ukrainian independence, our life, our culture, Ukrainian freedom. And we will protect,” he emphasized.
