Zelensky: Ukraine to open production of drones and missiles in Europe as part of the Build with Ukraine program

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the launch of a new program, Build with Ukraine, which provides for the entry of Ukrainian defense production to the international level.

Already this summer, it is planned to sign a number of agreements that will launch the export of Ukrainian military technologies through the opening of production lines in partner countries.

“We have launched the Build with Ukraine program, and in the summer we will sign the relevant agreements on the start of exporting our technologies abroad in the format of opening production lines in European countries and, perhaps, beyond,” Zelensky said.

We are talking about countries that actively help Ukraine, in particular, by financing the production of drones and missiles.

According to the president, Ukraine will transfer to these states the relevant technologies for organizing joint production of weapons – drones, missiles, possibly artillery – both for the Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine and for the needs of partners.

“We are talking about military technologies – exclusively about drones of various types, about missiles and, possibly, artillery. There are already agreements,” the president added.

At the same time, Zelensky emphasized that none of the technologies will be available to countries that sympathize with Russia.

Ukraine deliberately limits cooperation to avoid leakage of sensitive developments.

Among the countries with which active negotiations are already underway are:

  • Denmark is first in line;
  • Positive signals come from Norway, Germany, Britain (after the last meeting in Canada);
  • Lithuania also showed active interest.

“It is also important here that we are talking with the private sector,” he added.

According to Zelensky, in 2025, Ukraine attracted 43 billion dollars for the development of its own defense-industrial complex.

In the future, the goal is to achieve systemic financing of the Ukrainian defense industry at a level of 0.25% of the GDP of each partner country.
