Zelensky on Navy Day: The Ukrainian sea will not tolerate the Russian fleet

On the Day of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the highest Ukrainian military-political leadership congratulated the military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their professional holiday.

The corresponding statements were made public on July 7 by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

In his congratulations, President Zelensky recalled that today naval personnel, marines, missile and artillerymen, naval aviation pilots and anti-aircraft gunners of the Ukrainian Navy are celebrating their professional holiday in difficult military conditions, waging fierce battles with Russian invaders at sea, on land and in the air, showing heroism, resilience and invincible character.

— Thanks to your professionalism, courage and perseverance, you, in cooperation with other components of the security and defense forces of Ukraine, did not allow the enemy to destroy freedom of navigation, expelled the Russian military fleet from the Black Sea and continue to ensure reliable defense of the maritime borders of our state, communications and ports, demonstrating indestructible combat spirit, skill and military valor, — he wrote.

The head of state specifically noted the Marines who reliably hold the defense in the most critical sectors of the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as “professionally and confident” exterminate the aggressor.

— On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I thank all the personnel of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their selfless performance of duty, recklessness and heroism, for their significant contribution to the common cause of the defense of Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky is confident that the military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to reliably defend their native land and its maritime borders, therefore he wished them invincibility of spirit in defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and new victories in battles with Russian occupiers .

Syrsky: Navy — Loyalty, Courage, Strength

In turn, Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky recalled that the soldiers of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prove every day in heavy battles that the Navy — this is Loyalty, Courage, Strength.

— You destroy enemies at sea, land and in the air, stand at the forefront of protecting our state, demonstrating examples of true patriotism and combat skill. I express my gratitude to the entire personnel of the Navy, and especially the sailors and junior commanders, for their steadfastness, courage and heroism, for their important contribution to the defense of Ukraine, — he wrote.

The Head Commander thanked the Navy personnel for their loyalty and selfless fight, which brings the victory of Ukraine closer.

Separately, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked the Navy veterans who, in the first hours of the Russian large-scale aggression against Ukraine, returned at the call of their hearts and joined the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland.
