President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskycommented on the recent visit to Kyiv of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and named the purpose of his trip.
He said this during a conversation with reporters on May 16.

According to Zelensky, one of the goals of the US Secretary of State’s visit to Kyiv — this is $2 billion in aid for Ukraine and US proposals regarding security guarantees.

Recall that on May 14, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit. During the visit, he said that Washington would provide Kyiv with an additional $2 billion in military aid for Ukraine.
During their visit, Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba held the first round of negotiations in a pizzeria opened by veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
