Zelensky made changes to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council

On Saturday, February 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky made changes to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Malyuk and head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko joined the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Denis Monastyrsky's membership in the National Security and Defense Council was also terminated. He died in a plane crash in Brovary.

Malyuk Vasily Vasilyevich, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, was approved as part of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.

New appointments

• Let us recall that on February 7, Vasily Malysh became head of the SBU. He acted as the head of the department after the dismissal of Ivan Bakanov, and previously was his first deputy. The decision to appoint Malysh was made today at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
• On February 7, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Igor Klymenko head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. More than 320 people's deputies cast their votes in favor.
