The President put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose economic sanctions against Royal Pay Europe. She is associated with a famous Russian online bookmaker.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy implemented the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine against Royal Pay Europe on January 12. The corresponding decree was published on the President's website.

Royal Pay is a brand that unites a group of companies providing a wide range of services in the field of e-commerce. In particular, the company's website states that it processes electronic payments, offers “optimized financial solutions and effective system compliance.”

This company is registered in the capital of Latvia – Riga. However, Royal Pay is owned by a Russian citizen with a Cypriot passport, Sergey Kondratenko, and cooperates with the Russian bookmaker 1xBet.

The company was founded in 2016, and in 2017 received a license to create electronic money in Britain, which gave it the right to accept payments and service card agreements in European and British jurisdictions.

What are the NSDC sanctions

The NSDC sanctions imposed by the President provide for the blocking of assets for 5 years, a ban on the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, the termination of financial and economic obligations, and a ban on participation in the privatization and lease of state property.
