President Vladimir Zelensky called the dismissal of Commander-in-Chief General Valeriy Zaluzhny and the top leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — reboot, restructuring and change of management of the military command.
Zelensky said this in an interview with American journalist Bret Baier for the Fox News channel.
According to the head of state, we are not talking at all about changing Ukraine’s course of action — we're talking about things that haven't changed for a long time.

— We must be faster. This means we have to let go of all the bureaucracy that we have. We must be smart, technologically advanced and fast. Time — this is money, and in our case it’s not money, but people’s lives,” Zelensky emphasized.
When asked by a journalist about the Hero of Ukraine award for Zaluzhny, does this mean that the general will continue to support the president’s policies or go into opposition.
Zelensky noted that this would be Zaluzhny’s choice.
— He defended our nation and our country. I gave him the title of Hero of Ukraine because I am very grateful to him for this, — stated the head of state.
