EU countries are helping Ukraine to deter Russian aggression with sanctions and weapons. The longer it takes to impose sanctions against the regime of Vladimir Putin, the more daring Russia becomes. p>This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during an appeal to Ukrainians, writes Channel 24. The head of state expressed gratitude to European politicians “who do not forget that the eighth sanctions package against Russia is needed.”
Zelensky stressed that Russia becomes more daring when the interval between the imposition of sanctions becomes long.
The longer the gap between sanctions packages, the greater the audacity of Russia, the President said.
Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the partners who are promoting the need to recognize Russia as a terrorist state. According to the president, this solution will appear anyway.
“The only question is how many more lives Russia will have time to take before the retaliatory strikes from the international community become really tangible for those responsible for this terror,” – the head of state summed up.
What is known about sanctions against Russia
- After Russia launched a full-scale war in Ukraine, the EU countries introduced 7 packages of sanctions against Moscow. The EU imposed an embargo on Russian coal and partially accepted the oil embargo in the 6th package of sanctions.
