The President of Ukraine noted that it is important to try to strengthen the international anti-war coalition and expressed the hope that Japan will become one of parties to future agreements on Ukraine's security.

The Head of State thanked Kishidi Fumio for Japan's clear position in support of Ukraine and the Prime Minister's personal active role in strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia and humanitarian and financial assistance to our country.

< p class="bloquote cke-markup"> We discussed the prospects for post-war interaction. We see Japan as an important participant in the anti-war coalition and future security arrangements for Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelensky invited Japan to join the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

It is worth adding that the telephone conversation took place on the day of the 36th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Japan, like no one else, understands the price of nuclear tragedies.

The President of Ukraine explained to Kishidi Fumio how an aggressor country is now resorting to “nuclear terrorism”.

Today, during the aggression against Ukraine, Russia resorts to “nuclear terrorism”, as evidenced by the seizure of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the maintenance of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the threat of using nuclear weapons, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed during the conversation.
