President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He reported this on Telegram.
Zelensky thanked Qatar for its humanitarian assistance and important mediating role in the return of illegally deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainian children to their homeland. He stressed that Ukraine is determined to continue cooperation to return children home.

The leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East and agreed on the importance of de-escalating the conflict, seeking peace and protecting civilians. The President noted the critical need for the continuous operation of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
In addition, Zelensky and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani talked about the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
“In these difficult times, the participation of the Gulf countries in the World Formula remains extremely important. “I express my gratitude to Qatar for joining the previous rounds of negotiations on the World Formula, as well as for its willingness to participate in the meeting in Malta next week,” the president said.
Earlier, Zelensky said that Ukraine is preparing for the Peace Formula meeting in Malta and the parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform in the Czech Republic.
