President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Russian airfields and Ukraine's need for air defense, electronic warfare and other military equipment in a conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

In turn, the President of France expressed condolences in connection with the Russian strikes on Lviv, Poltava and other cities and communities of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader informed Macron of Ukraine's key needs, including air defense systems, electronic warfare, armored vehicles, and artillery.

Zelensky said that the two leaders agreed on the following contacts, in particular on the implementation of both our bilateral security agreement and the joint mechanism of the Ukraine Security Compact.

— Ukraine appreciates France's support in protecting the lives of our people and hopes for further cooperation that will force the terrorist country to answer for its crimes, — he wrote.

Recall that on Friday, September 6, President Zelensky is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a visit to the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, better known as Ramstein.
