While Ukraine is giving a heroic rebuff to the Russians, and our partners are trying to contribute to this, some have decided to maintain friendship with Russia. Several European leaders believe that relations with the aggressor should be maintained.
Ukraine will soon find out whether it will receive the status of a candidate for joining the European Union. However, we are counting not only on political support – we need powerful weapons to overcome Russian aggression.
There is no unity in the EU
Speaking to journalists from Denmark, President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the unity of Europe and the world is the only way to help our heroic army. Ukraine is very sick of this and is doing everything possible to ensure that the aggression of Russia and all the possible consequences that caused its vile aggression could be overcome by joint efforts.
He also thanked Denmark for its support in all areas. The very next day after the full-scale invasion of the Russians, Prime Minister Matte Frederiksen of Denmark called the president and assured her of the full support of our people. The matter did not end with one conversation – Denmark began to take very concrete steps to help Ukraine. They concerned weapons, finances, sanctions against infidels, etc.
It is in these three directions that the unification of Europe and the world is necessary. It is not easy, but it guarantees our strength. The lack of this unity slows down the liberation of our lands, Zelensky emphasized.
He also recalled that as soon as Russia launched a full-scale attack, the entire European society united, and some politicians remained “restrained”, which slowed down the supply of weapons to Ukraine, as well as the imposition of sanctions.
“If everyone is united and united, we will definitely win this war, there is no doubt about it,” the president added.
