Explosions at a military airfield near Novofedorovka on August 9 caused real panic among tourists and Russians who moved to live in Crimea after its annexation. They were seriously frightened, so they began to actively pack their bags.

Russians are fleeing Crimea en masse

Crimean beaches, on which explosions were heard and clouds of black smoke were visible, emptied immediately after the “pops”. At the same time, traffic jams from cars appeared – people fled en masse from the scene. About this 24 channelsTamila Tasheva, permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, said.

It should be noted that the hysteria did not end when the explosions subsided, but only gained momentum. During the day, dozens of advertisements for the sale of apartments in the settlements of Crimea appeared. They are ready to sell them for small money in dollar terms and even exchange them for cars.

As Tamila Tasheva said, now one can really observe a mass exodus of people across the Kerch bridge. There are several reasons why there were huge traffic jams, and one of them is that a certain part of the people were afraid of explosions and their possible continuation, and decided to run away. In addition, there are checkpoints in Novofedorovka and probably on the way to the Krymsky bridge, the passage of which slows down traffic and creates an additional load.

the return of Crimea to Ukrainian control is getting closer

We understand that they will leave, if not yesterday, today or tomorrow, after some time, when we liberate the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. We have no doubts about this,” she stated.

Tasheva agreed with the words of President Zelensky, who, in an evening address on August 9, noted that although we do not know when Crimea will return to Ukrainian control, but we will definitely fight for it.

“I am sure that this process will be much faster than we imagined six months or a year ago, when we held the first Crimean platform. But we have no doubts, we are fighting for all our territories and our people,” summed up the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

How Russia reacted to the explosions in Crimea

  • The Russian Ministry of Defense did not immediately choose how to explain the “claps” to its citizens. At first, they announced the detonation of several ammunition, adding that nothing terrible happened.
  • However, later the “official version” was changed, saying that “violation of fire safety” led to the explosions.
  • Meanwhile, Russia's “sofa troops” reacted differently from their fellow citizens who directly heard and saw the explosions. Panic overtook them, so they began bombarding social networks with comments demanding to bomb Ukrainian cities and exterminate all Ukrainians.
  • Russian propagandists also distinguished themselves. Despite the fact that, as it turned out, the aggressor country lost 9 of its aircraft, Putin's apostates assure the Russians that there were no large-scale explosions, and all the aircraft remained intact.
