Zelensky, Bandera and Zaluzhny are in the top ten: they chose the most outstanding Ukrainians of all time

Ukrainians have decided who is considered the greatest Ukrainian of all time. President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny are in the top ten of the rating.

This is evidenced by the data of a survey conducted by the Rating sociological group. They were engaged in the framework of the “People's TOP” project in order to determine those whom Ukrainians consider outstanding.

The top ten outstanding Ukrainians are as follows

Immediately, we note that the leader of the rating is more than twice as many votes as Volodymyr Zelensky, and Valery Zaluzhny – more than eight times.

  • Taras Shevchenko – 63 .9%;
  • Vladimir Zelensky – 29.8%;
  • Lesya Ukrainka – 19.6%;
  • Bogdan Khmelnitsky – 17.3%;
  • Stepan Bandera – 12.8%
  • Mikhail Hrushevsky – 11.6%;
  • Ivan Franko – 10.1%;
  • Ivan Mazepa – 8.8%;
  • Vyacheslav Chornovil – 8.7%;
  • Valery Zaluzny – 7.7 %.

As for the second ten, it also included both historical figures and our contemporaries. For example, Grigory Skovoroda (6.7%), Vasily Stus (3.4%), Vladimir the Great (2.6%), Yaroslav the Wise (2.5%), Leonid Kravchuk (2.5%), Ivan Sirko ( 2.4%), Vitali Klitschko (2.2%), Oleksandr Usyk (2.2%), Andriy Shevchenko (1.8%) and Piotr Sagaydachny (1.8%).

In the top ten are Roman Shukhevych, Leonid Kuchma, Taras Bulba, Ivan Kotlyarevsky, Lina Kostenko, Igor Sikorsky, Petro Poroshenko, Mikhail Kotsyubinsky, Nikolay Amosov, and Pavel Skoropadsky.

Note that in total, respondents named 148 names of the greatest Ukrainians. At the same time, about 8% of respondents found it difficult either to name or remember a single outstanding countryman.

The day before, Rating conducted another survey. It shed light on Ukrainians' lost ties with their families during the war. The results, unfortunately, are not very encouraging. And we hope that soon everything will be able to change.

Every third Ukrainian parted ways with his relatives

Thus, 35% of our countrymen were forced to part with their relatives as a result of the war. The survey showed that 23% of them still live separately, and 12% have already managed to reunite.

It is also known that 19% of the respondents have relatives with whom they have lost contact. Another for 5% of the respondents, the enemy, unfortunately, took away their loved ones. In addition, 3% of the respondents have acquaintances who were forcibly deported either to Russia or to the temporarily occupied territories.
