The Foreign Minister noted that France had mobilized the income received from frozen Russian assets since the start of the full-scale invasion and redirected these resources to support Ukraine.

“It is important that we continue to help Ukraine develop its ability to produce its own equipment, and this is what France will do in cooperation with Ukraine,” Barrot said.

The Minister recalled the recent announcement about the joint production of drones with the participation of Renault directly in Ukraine.

Because today we need to realize that this war is a drone war and that soldiers are confronting each other with drones, so this is a very important aspect that the president spoke about with Volodymyr Zelensky during the NATO summit that took place earlier this week, he added.

Earlier, the head of the French Ministry of Defense Sebastien Lecornu announced plans for joint production of drones in Ukraine with the participation of French automobile and defense companies.

Later, the defense ministers of Ukraine and France continued to discuss the details of joint weapons production.
