Zarya bid farewell to the Conference League with a crushing victory over Breidablik

Luganskaya Zarya defeated Icelandic Breidablik with a crushing score in the sixth match of the group stage Conference League season 2023/24.

The game took place in Lublin, Poland, at the arena of the same name and ended with a score of 4:0 in favor of Yuri Koval’s team.

The Ukrainian club took the lead in the 2nd minute after an accurate shot Eduardo Guerrero. In the 11th minute, the visiting defender Damir Muminovich cut the ball into his own goal, which doubled the advantage of the nominal hosts.

Following the results of six rounds, the Luhansk team scored 7 points and took third place in Group B. A direct ticket to the 1/8 finals from this quartet was won by Maccabi Tel Aviv (15).

Belgian Gent (13) took second position and will play in the 1/16 finals of the tournament. As for Breidablik, the team did not score points in six matches and finished the European season in last place.
