Zaluzhny told a touching story about a Ukrainian soldier

I once cried when my mother was looking for her son. He was a helicopter pilot and flew Mariupol, – recalls the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zaluzhny believed to the last that this military man managed to survive. However, in an instant he was informed that this guy was dead. He stressed that he was forced to clarify this situation.

The general remembered that his mother had sent him a message from the pilot, in which he wrote before the flight that he was a patriot, that even if he were gone, he wanted to be known that he was a normal person.

Zaluzhny remembered that when he tried to discuss this issue, he did not have enough strength, then he began to cry.

Zaluzhny promised to return Mariupol this year

  • Valery Zaluzhny promised a 4-year-old boy that we would return Mariupol in 2023. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in order to ask about this, the boy took him away from everyone.
  • This happened when Valery Zaluzhny was St. Nicholas for children. Several children's letters were handed over to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that he was so pleased to be St. Nicholas for this small number of children that it was impossible.
  • “Right at this table , boy … His name was Ilya, he was four years old. He took me by the hand and took me. He says: “Bend over, I'll tell you something in your ear: will we definitely return to Mariupol?”. I say: “Yes” . He says, “When?”. I say, “This year. It's inspiring,” he said.
