Ukraine has been resisting full-scale Russian aggression for four months. And while some see the consequences of the “Russian world” every day, others are in no hurry to move away from it.

An unpleasant incident occurred on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel. On June 27, journalist Yulia Galushka got in touch with the head of the Poltava police department, Dmitry Lunin. He was just near the shopping center, which was hit by an enemy missile.

Asked me to switch to the language of the occupier

First, the presenter made an introduction, in which she spoke about the rocket attack that the infidels inflicted on June 27 on a shopping center in Kremenchug. After that, Dmitry Lunin joined, who should talk about the situation. And it was at this moment that something very unpleasant happened. Direct language:

  • – Dmitry, good afternoon!
  • – I wish you health.
  • – Dmitry, tell us what is known about the number of victims, victims, what is happening on the ground now?
  • – In general, the rescuers will now tame the fire…
  • – Dmitry, we will ask you to switch to Russian. We speak Russian for the whole world.

The head of the Poltava OVA somewhat wilted, but was forced to switch to an enemy language, to make it “more understandable to the audience “. And this greatly angered netizens. One of them is activist Sergei Sternenko.

Why not in English then, if they broadcast to the whole world? I don’t remember anything since the same Americans or British became Russian-speaking,” he noted.

The presenter asked the head of the Poltava OVA to switch to Russian on the air: watch the video

Many also began to resent, because just a few hours ago the city was attacked by the Russians, and the presenter immediately demands to speak Russian. Here are some comments on the net:

  • “The Russian world” of the brain… for the world's garbage pit you say, Madam host”;
  • “If you are asked to switch to Russian language – send to Mordor”;
  • “A Ukrainian understands the language of the enemy, but the enemy doesn't understand the language of the 'fraternal people'?”;
  • “It just doesn't fit in my head. Why not Russia24? Ukraine 24, are you even conscious there?”

A number of commentators agreed with Sternenko and stressed that if it really was an international broadcast, then it would definitely not be Russian. And, for example, in English, Spanish, French and German.

And now let us recall the actual rocket attack on Kremenchug. It happened in the afternoon of June 27th. At the time of the attack, an air raid alert sounded in the city.

At least 20 dead and dozens wounded

  • Russian invaders fired several rockets at Kremenchug on 27 June. One of them, unfortunately, ended up in the Amstor shopping center. He, unfortunately, continued his work during the air raid.
  • As a result of an enemy missile hit, the shopping center caught fire. Rescuers said that the flame spread over an area of more than 10,000 square meters. And several hundred firefighters, as well as dozens of fire equipment, were sent to eliminate it.
  • Vladimir Zelensky emphasized the terrible situation. He stressed that there were about 1,000 people in the mall before the missile attack. Fortunately, many managed to escape, because they went to the shelter during the air raid.
  • Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko during a briefing announced more than 20 dead. He also noted that 59 wounded are currently known.
