Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska suffered a crushing defeat to a qualifier from the Philippines at the WTA 250 tournament in Eastbourne, England.
In the quarterfinals, she lost to Alexandra Eale in two sets with a score of 1:6, 2:6.

In the first set, Diana gave three of her own serves to Alexandra, achieving only one break in response.
In the second set, Eala made a 3-0 run with two breaks, after which Yastremska responded with two breaks, but lost in the fifth game on her serve. The next two games were for the Filipina.
It was the first time Dayana had met Eala, who is ranked 74th in the WTA rankings. The Filipina began the tournament in Eastbourne with the qualifying round.
In the first two rounds of the tournament, the Ukrainian confidently beat the Polish player Magda Linett and the British player Francesca Jones.
On Monday, June 30, the main tournament of the Grand Slam series, Wimbledon 2025, starts. Dayana Yastremska is declared as a main player in the singles and doubles competitions.
