Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska suffered a defeat in the final of the WTA 250 tennis tournament in Nottingham on grass.
In the decisive match, she lost to American McCartney Kessler in two sets 4:6, 5:7.

The tennis players spent 1 hour and 44 minutes on the court, during which Yastremska made four aces, her opponent – two. Both tennis players also made two double faults.

In the first set, Kessler led 5:2 with two breaks, but gave up her serve to the Ukrainian when she was serving for the set. Dayana managed to win back another game, but still lost to the American on serve 4:6.
In the second set, the key was the seventh game on Yastremska's serve, which Kessler took. With the score at 3:5, the Ukrainian saved five match points and stayed in the game. Dayana tied it at 5:5, but the next two games were won by her opponent.
