Egyptian media reports that the tourist ship Sea Story sank in shark-infested waters. There were 45 people on the yacht, who are currently missing.

The Al-Masry Al-Youm publication reported that the diving tour departed from the port of Porto Ghalib to Marsa Alam and was supposed to return to the port of Hurghada. It is not yet known what caused the sinking, but according to the information released, a helicopter and naval units were involved in the search.

It is currently believed that the vessel was sailing around the coast for diving when it sent a distress signal before losing contact. The nationality of the missing persons in the incident also remains unknown. Preliminary, the ship sank in the Shaab Satayeh area, north of Marsa Alam.

By the way, let us recall that on November 9, near the city of Ras Sedr in Egypt, a tourist bus got into an accident. 41 people were injured, including a Ukrainian citizen born in 1984. All the victims were taken to the city hospital in Ras Sedr.

Three citizens from Kazakhstan, three from Azerbaijan, and four from Egypt were also injured. According to available information, there were no fatalities in the accident. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. The case is under the control of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
