Despite the fact that Xiaomi has spent a lot of efforts to popularize the “Mi” brand, the company will still try to abandon it in the future. Ultimately, the Chinese company wants to come up with a naming similar to that of Apple.
So, while the same Samsung has a specific name for the “smartphone series”, which separates them from other brand electronics, the Cupertinos simply release a new numbered model: iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13.
As SlashGear writes, Xiaomi wants to do something similar. If earlier it designated its devices with the prefix “Mi” (Mi Band, Mi Pad, Mi Mix), then from now on the company will abandon this practice.
The Chinese brand has already demonstrated the corresponding changes. For example, the recent flagship with an invisible camera Xiaomi Mix 4 has lost the “Mi” in the name. The same awaits us with the upcoming Xiaomi 11T.
