The US Congress must approve aid to Ukraine in the near future, otherwise Kyiv will be in a “dangerous situation.”
This was stated by Democratic Congressman Adam Smith, Politico reports.
The US needs to make a decision on support in November or December, he said.

The congressman also noted that he does not agree with Republicans who link assistance to Ukraine with ensuring the security of the southern border. He thinks it “doesn’t make any sense.”
“The main reason here is that Trump decided that he doesn’t like Ukraine,” the official said.
Smith added that many Republicans support Ukraine, but cannot cope with the pressure of supporters of Trump's views.
Earlier, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the main allocations allocated by the US Congress in 2023 are almost exhausted, which puts the issue of assistance to Ukraine in a critical state.
