The 2025 tennis season will begin with major tournaments in Australia and New Zealand. Four Ukrainians have already signed up for WTA competitions in these countries.
The competition in Brisbane, Australia, will start on December 29, and a tournament in Auckland, New Zealand, is scheduled for December 30. 48 tennis players will take part in Brisbane, and in Auckland — 32.

Three Ukrainian women have signed up for the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane – Marta Kostyuk, Angelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska.

It is also known that Yulia Starodubtseva will open the season with performances at the WTA 250 competitions in Auckland.
Who will be the Ukrainian tennis players' opponents at the tournament will be known closer to the dates after the draw.
It should be noted that it is not yet known which tournaments will open the 2025 tennis season Elina Svitolina, Lesia Tsurenko and Daria Snigur.
Last year, five Ukrainians opened the tennis season with tournaments in Auckland and Brisbane. The best result then was shown by Svitolina, who lost to American Coco Gauff in the final of the tournament in Auckland.
