Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that many Ukrainian pilots were killed near Mariupol. They did virtually impossible things, because, despite the fact that they knew that it was almost impossible to fly to Azovstal, they did it.
A large number of weeks they flew there by helicopter, knowing that 90% did not return. We have lost many pilots. It's just that there are people who flew to give them (the defenders of Mariupol – Channel 24) food, water, weapons and take away the wounded. Many people have been lost. They are absolutely heroic,” the President emphasized.
The President noted that he could not officially comment on this information, since there were no agreements on air corridors. In addition, the infidels deployed a powerful air defense in Mariupol.

- The defenders of Mariupol held their positions in the complete encirclement of Russian troops for almost 3 months, from the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, destroying approximately 6,000 infidels during this time.
