The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, shared details about his postgraduate studies at the Ostroh Academy at the Faculty of Political Science. He said that he would write a doctoral dissertation.
The head of the Main Investigation Department spoke about this in an interview with TheDrive.
Answering a journalist’s question whether Kirill Budanov plans to go into politics after graduation, he replied:

— You are not right. I will explain. I'm writing my doctoral dissertation there, — said the head of intelligence.
Budanov also revealed the topic of his dissertation: “Global interaction between intelligence services around the world, their influence on their domestic policies”.
The journalist also asked whether the intelligence chief plans to write a book after the end of the war in Ukraine.
— I'll write my doctorate first. And according to the calendar plan they provided me with, I have two years to do this, — noted Kirill Budanov.
Recall that on September 13, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense submitted documents for admission to graduate school at the Ostroh Academy in the specialty of Political Science. He will study in the evening uniform.
