The population should prepare for a difficult winter, despite the fact that energy workers are doing everything possible to ensure that it passes smoothly.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine said this on the air of the Unified News telethon German Galushchenko.
— Today we have already lost about 8 GW of power in the system. If this had happened in any other country, there would have been a total blackout. The situation is complicated. But today there is light, the system is balanced, and this is the result of the hard work of energy workers, — said the minister.
He noted that in recent months the Ukrainian energy system has suffered the greatest damage since the start of a full-scale war.

According to Galushchenko, during the cold period it will be difficult to maintain the system without restrictions. In addition, it is difficult to predict what the situation will be by winter given the next Russian attacks.
Galushchenko advised all consumers to prepare for a difficult winter and save electricity:
— Even if you don’t have restrictions today, you need to understand that there is a war going on and somewhere at this time these restrictions exist. Therefore, economical use of electricity is very important.

Difficulties with power supply may occur in the summer, but during this period of the year, renewable energy sources, in particular solar power plants, help balance the system.
