Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on for 671 days. During this time, the position of Western countries towards the war can be considered established. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said what is the likelihood that Ukraine will no longer be supported.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda expressed doubt that the West will stop supporting Ukraine, but if this happens, in his opinion, the threat of aggression from Russia for the countries of the Alliance will increase.

Will the West really stop supporting Ukraine

Gitanas Nauseda said that the likelihood that the West will stop supporting Ukraine is very small.

However, the head of Lithuania made it clear that if this happens, the likelihood of Russian aggression towards Lithuania and NATO will increase.

This will depend on the scenario of the war in Ukraine. If Russia does not manage to return everything in its favor, then, of course, it will be stuck there for a long time and will not be able to fight on several fronts. – he said.

The head of Lithuania added that if everything is different, and the West suddenly turns away from Ukraine and does not provide it with the necessary assistance, “then it may happen yes, but the likelihood of such a scenario is small.”

He expressed the opinion that “this is just a desire to start a discussion from scratch.” He noted that no one has an answer to the question of when Russia's behavior might change and when it will turn its gaze towards NATO.
